Shawna Chan was born and raised in Singapore and is passionate about bridging her Singaporean Peranakan roots and experiences as an immigrant living in Oakland California into her illustrated works and products. Her classical training as an Animator elevates the attention to details in the storytelling of her pursuit in large scale public artworks.
Worked in Film, Animation, Design and Education. Happiest when creating illustrations and mixed media art inspired by her love for food, botanicals and childhood nostalgia. She spends downtime practicing eco conscious living, pottery, photowalks with an analog camera and gardening.
